All riders must use a bike number plate with numbers that are big enough to be seen by a person in the tower.

You can use the plate that the track gives you, or you can use your own plate, as long as you use your NBL number (last 3 digits). You can also use you State number if you raced the previous year state championship.

At National & State events, numbers permitted on plates include:

  • All World numbers - example, W1
  • All National numbers - Example. 7
  • Regional numbers - example, 2M (number plus the first letter of the rider's last name)
  • All novice National numbers must use N - example, N2
  • All rookie National numbers must use R - example, R3
  • If none of the above numbers were earned, then a rider must use the last 3 digits of his NBL license number.
  • No state numbers are permitted at National events.

Tip: When installing a new plate, try to keep the plate below the handlebar pad, or is you don't use this type of pad, try to keep the plate low as possible so the chin will not collide with it.
